What an HTTP check actually does

Each URL gets a real HTTP request from our worker pool. We capture the response status, headers, redirect chain (if any), and timing. Soft 404s are detected by content heuristics. Anti-bot blocks (403/429) are flagged separately so you know it's a block, not a real failure.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send custom headers with each request?
Not via the web UI yet — for header customisation, use the REST API. The default User-Agent identifies as a fair-use crawler.
Do you respect robots.txt?
Yes. URLs blocked by robots.txt are reported as such and not requested.
