What "status" means here

For each site we report: HTTP status code (the canonical "up/down" answer), final URL after redirects, response time, and any connection-level error (DNS, timeout, refused, SSL).

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as an uptime monitor?
It's a one-shot status check. For continuous uptime monitoring (every minute, with alerting), use a dedicated uptime tool. Our scheduled-check feature (coming soon) bridges the gap with hourly/daily monitoring.
How do you detect "down"?
Connection failures (DNS, timeout, refused) and 5xx responses both count as "down" in normal usage. Filter the results by error column to see all failure types.
